Pine Box banned a card. But what does that really mean? I have a few thoughts on what it means for the game.

The date has been set. July 18th is the beginning of the Kickstarter for the next set. If you want to see more cards, this is your chance to support the game you love by being directly involved in its funding. Check out Pinnacle for updates and more info.
A few more cards have been spoiled since last time, so the spoiler page has gotten a few updates. I've always wanted to add more games to my coverage here, and Arkham Horror will likely be one of the new choices. I've started with a card review of Where Doom Awaits.
I've added two new features to the site! First of all, Pinebox event prizes will get their own page here! I have also started a spoiler page for Epitaph with all the images and some tips to go along.
Pinebox Entertainment has announced the kickstarter will start in July for the new Epitaph set. Many cards have already been spoiled, so you'll get to see a lot of the cards you're paying for ahead of time. Get those wallets ready!
PBE is also planning to set up new competitive events called the Epitaph series. Looks like Pinebox is lining everything up for this set! Check it out here! If you're reading this, you probably already know that our favorite game, Doomtown: Reloaded has been given a second chance in the hands of Pine Box Entertainment. Since then, I have been busy helping out Pine Box any way I can. This week, that means I get to spoil a card! Click below!
If you love Deadlands, and I bet a few of you do, you might be interested in the new Deadlands Kickstarter.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/545820095/deadlands-classic-20th-anniversary-edition?ref=discovery Pinnacle is re-releasing the classic Deadlands book in full color. The one that started it all. Their are plenty of extra goodies to consider, too! This here is my last spoiler for Doomtown from AEG. It's a real shame to see these outfits, knowing they won't be able to reach their full potential. The new Morgan home has a strong effect to prevent fortress builds and, potentially other landslides from gaining too much strength by sitting on loads of influence at one specific location. Even blockade style builds would suffer if they put too many dudes in Town Square. Using the Regulators, you will likely be attempting to avoid shootouts. Look to noon movement effects and dudes that can't be called out in order to avoid those pesky shootouts. If you can force your opponent's dudes to one location (Phantasm?), it might just be enough to pull their influence below your CP total that round and earn you the win.
Since the cancellation of Doomtown: Reloaded from AEG, I've wondered what shape this site would take. I've met many players eagerly awaiting the new Legend of the Five Rings from Fantasy Flight, but that is still a year away. At Gencon this year, I realized there are several Doomtown players that also play a favorite of mine, Lord of the Rings.
I will likely move most of my writing to reviewing new sets and quests for LOTR and perhaps some movies or TV shows if I find the time. Let me know what you are interested in. Perhaps we share some interests and I nee to write about those too! I waited to post this spoiler because I thought Showstopper wasn't officially out yet. Turns out my local store was one of the last to receive their shipment, a problem we've never had before. Now that I know we are moving into spoiler season for the final AEG Doomtown product, here is a preview from Blood Moon Rising! Today we have the Post a Tron, another gadget dude for the Morgan Cattle Company. You can even include him in your starting posse! You'll have a booted dude at the start of the game, but you'll be adding a 2-stud to your starting posse. If you're also running Margaret Hagerty, you can avoid his upkeep cost.
With an easy difficulty of 6 and value of Q, he can be put into a gadget deck easily enough as well. If you have him in the town square, he can boot to gain 3 Ghost Rock. Even if he gets killed in a shootout early, you'll be able to make your investment back quickly enough. Plus, your opponent will need to shoot through his 2-stud first. Combine him with a horse like Guide Horse to move him quickly to town square or a Mustang or Espuelas to move him home to safety when needed. Stay tuned for at least one more spoiler before the final pine box, Blood Moon Rising is released! |
